An update on Lee's situation, after over two years of treatment at home and in hospital, yesterday he under went more surgery and his right leg was amputated just below the knee, his length of stay in hospital is not yet known.

if any one would like to send a message to him via this site, or a card it would be appreciated and help keep his chin up, or if passing by call in..

I'm an Ex C/Sgt of 1RGJ. A couple of years ago I had a below left knee amputation due to cancer so will know what Lee and his family will be going through. It may seem all gloom and doom but after 2 years of pain he will find it a god send. I find I'm more active now than I was before the op.

Lee needs to get in touch with BLESMA which is a fantastic organization that can help in all aspects, support, legal, financial etc.   Lee's BLESMA Support Officer would be, W.J. Tell him I wish him well and that it's not the end of life but the start of new interesting and challenging one

Lee is now back home and getting on very well, but still has a long road ahead getting himself fit and well. Thanks to all who made contact with him during his stay in hospital, this helped him to keep going.
