RGJRA Christmas Card 2009 – In support of the Milton Keynes, RGJR Association
Permalink Closed

Dear All,

As another way of raising much needed money for the Milton Keynes branch `Rik` Twohey, formerly 1,3 and 4 RGJ, has decided to use his considerable talent as a cartoonist to produce an Association Christmas card for sale to the whole of the Association this year.

This is a trial launch of what might, if successful, become a regular contribution by `Rik`. He apologises for the fact that this year, due to a shortage of time, he has only created one card but if the response is good enough he has promised that there will be at least three cards available for each year in the future and that all proceeds less production expenses will then go to the main Association funds.

In the past some criticism has been levelled at the habit of producing our regimental Christmas cards depicting battle scenes from our illustrious regimental history and although such creations were purchased by many it was felt by a lot of people, including member’s wives, that the use of such bloodthirsty encounters was not entirely in keeping with the spirit of Christmas. For that reason Rik has elected to concentrate on a more seasonal aspect for his characters.

`The Carol Singers` is supplied in pack sizes of 3 or 6 with envelopes and measures 14.85cm x 10.5cm, (A6).  The artwork on the card is of course unique and has been hand drawn and hand painted. The card can be viewed in a reduced size format in the attached order form (please click HERE), which contains all pricing details. You will need Acrobat Reader or equivalent to access the attachment. This is a free download from http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/ .

All orders will be filled as quickly as possible and Association branches are particularly requested to order in bulk for all their members to save on postage costs. Large orders of 60+ cards may also qualify for a small discount.

All proceeds less the production costs, which `Rik` has financed himself, will go the Milton Keynes branch of RGJRA Association for this year. If you have any questions please email `Rik` direct at greenjobs@live.co.uk  .
